THE JOURNEY

In 2009, I was running my own award-winning architecture firm while newly married and raising an infant and a two-year-old.

From the outside, I had built the life I had worked very hard for. It was a life that looked very successful.

Inside it, I was falling apart.

My body was beginning to fail me. I was bone-crushingly tired, with a thyroid and a liver that were in serious trouble. I didn’t know it yet, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. My soul ached, and I felt like I was failing at my career and my family. Then, just before Christmas, my mother died, one of six elder family members I would lose within a matter of months.

I went looking for answers everywhere.

Doctors. Practitioners. Spiritual teachers. Anyone I thought might be able to tell me what was happening or how to fix it.

About Eileen Crispell

I got some vague diagnoses and a lot of versions of: you’re supposed to be tired as a mother and a business owner, this is normal, you’re getting older, your bloodwork is normal, your thoughts create your reality, it’s a spiritual lesson, learn to manifest. It was a seemingly endless amount of advice. I tried many things in earnest. But something in me knew none of it was the answer I needed. In fact, chasing the next sure thing only made both my physical and spiritual health worse.

If you’re reading this, I suspect you can already relate to my story.

What did become clear to me is that I couldn’t keep living the way I was living. I left the career I had poured blood, sweat, tears, and years into. And I got one brilliant piece of advice: stop letting anyone touch or advise you until you are really clear on who you are and what you believe.

I rented a one-room cabin on a horse farm for a month so I could escape everything with my little family for just a little while. No Wi-Fi. No television. Just nature, my family, a journal, and a will to start praying with focus.

That month didn’t give me all the answers. It’s when I started to call my soul back home so we could get to know each other again. I wouldn’t have had the words yet to explain that process, but I felt it deeply and swiftly.

Then, in 2012, I found Medical Medium.

A friend handed me a piece of paper with a name and number and said, you need to talk to Anthony William. I wasn’t so much skeptical as I was simply unaware that what was about to happen was even possible. My call was scheduled, and a hurricane arrived the night before. We had no power, and we all spent the night in the living room while my husband kept a fire going. The next morning I drove around in my car to charge my phone and get ready for the call that was about to change our lives forever.

For the first time, I was hearing an explanation for what was happening in my body that made sense to me. In five minutes he had named every health issue and symptom I had had since childhood, connected dots I didn’t know had anything to do with each other, and I felt in my soul it was finally the answer to my prayers. By the time I got off the phone, I knew exactly what to do to get better and exactly what had caused my issues. It was not normal, it was not my fault, and there was a plan.

I began applying the information diligently, and things were changing rapidly. Symptoms that had followed me for years began disappearing, but it was much bigger than that.

In the process, over time, I found parts of myself I thought I had lost. Answers to long-held spiritual questions seemed to find me with ease and compassion, not struggle. My faith deepened. Over the years that followed, Medical Medium information became part of how our entire family lived. It still is.

In 2016, I made the decision to begin sharing my healing publicly.

That wasn’t an obvious choice for me. I’m actually a very private person.

But once you’ve found something in your desperate searching that you didn’t even know was possible, it becomes very difficult to stay quiet while you know someone else is still searching.

I began my training because I realized I needed to be the expert in my own life. I had experienced things no one could explain to me, and I knew I couldn’t be the only one. I learned how much of what I’d experienced is actually quite normal, and has been since humans have kept records. The common knowledge and language around it had just gotten lost, buried, and rejected over time.

My story is the work I do today: supporting and coaching people through the journey to healing and reconnecting to their souls.

How I Actually Work With People

My father used to drive me crazy when I was a kid. Any time I would ask him what I should do, he’d say that’s a decision you have to make for yourself. A friend once told me he was like Merlin: he doesn’t give you answers, he gives you questions. As an adult, I understand what a gift that was. He was coaching me to understand myself, own my sovereignty, and gifting me autonomy, while still being loving, involved, and protective when I needed it.

That has shaped the way I work with people more than almost anything else.

I’m not here to be a guru or gatekeep the secrets to life. That doesn’t create true transformation.

My job is often to ask the question that helps you hear what you already know, notice where you’ve handed your authority away, recognize what belongs to you and what doesn’t, and become more discerning about the voices you allow to guide your life. My empathic, intuitive skills and training help me hone in on these things to spark your own power. Sometimes people need someone who can stand beside them in a very complicated season without becoming frightened by it or trying to take the reins away.

Where Medical Medium Fits

Medical Medium information saved my life.

I don’t say that casually, and I don’t treat it as something I have graduated from or moved beyond.

I’ve been applying this information in my own life and my family’s health since 2012. In 2016, I participated in Medical Medium’s Practitioner Support program, the only time that program was offered.

It remains foundational to how I understand physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.

What has become clear to me, through my own journey and my work as a practitioner, is that when a person has been sick for years, or frightened, overwhelmed, dismissed, traumatized, or forced to rebuild their life around illness, the physical body isn’t the only thing that has been affected.

There is also the person living inside the experience. The soul. The journey that soul takes here is vital to this life, and beyond it.

That’s where much of my work lives.

Not replacing the physical healing, but working alongside it: the life and soul part of the healing.

My Faith

Eileen CrispellI am a Christian.

I was raised in the Christian faith, wandered through plenty of questions about it, and ultimately came back to it with a faith which I own deeply.

I’ve also had a lifelong interest in, and personal experience with, spirituality and the unseen aspects of life. I trained extensively in shamanic healing through the Foundation for Shamanic Studies.

Some people may see those things as contradictory. I don’t. My experiences with healing, Medical Medium information, and shamanic training ultimately deepened my relationship with God rather than taking me away from it.

But my beliefs are mine.

I don’t need someone I work with to share them, and I have no interest in replacing another person’s beliefs with my own.

One of the things I care most about is helping people become more discerning about what they believe, why they believe it, and helping them find ways to live in alignment with their own beliefs and the life they want.

Before This Work

Long before I ever imagined doing any of this, I was an architect. I spent more than 20 years in design and architecture and eventually founded and ran my own award-winning green architecture firm. I see the connection to what I do now everywhere.

Being an architect is a little like being the conductor of an orchestra. Buildings are built with systems, just like the body. There’s the electrical system, the plumbing system, the foundation, and so on. You need experts in all the systems to build a healthy, functioning building: carpenters, engineers, plumbers, electricians, and more. Imagine each of these components as an instrument. To get them all working together, in alignment, toward the same goal, you need a conductor who understands each individual role and keeps track of everything. You have to look at the entire structure rather than getting distracted by one visible problem. We’re also skilled at recognizing where one part is failing, or an assembly is in the wrong order, or there’s damage from water, bugs, or condensation and mold from not being built for the right conditions. We have to consider weather and the laws of nature when designing for a particular climate. It’s a lot to keep track of, and that’s my training: to see what else could be affecting the whole picture.

I find it funny now, because I used to spend a lot of time doing what I called being chief in charge of emotions. Building or renovating a home is an emotional, taxing process. The people involved famously don’t always get along, and it’s stressful on relationships. Clients used to joke that I was like a marriage counselor. Now I know I was doing what I was meant to do all along, just disguised as an architect.

Life Outside the Work

I am a wife, a mother, a writer, a homebody, a person who needs nature like oxygen, and someone who still finds herself endlessly curious about why we believe the things we believe.

My family and I live in Vermont, where much of my life is considerably quieter than the era I spent living in and loving New York City, or building and running an architecture firm. I like it that way.

Healing changed what I value.

These days, a meaningful life interests me far more than an impressive one.

ReWild ReNew

Today, much of my work happens through ReWild ReNew, which I co-founded with Amie Jones.

Together, we work with people who have already learned a great deal, survived a great deal, and often changed a great deal, but find themselves standing in that strange space between the life they had and the one they are trying to build.

We talk about healing, Medical Medium information, relationships, identity, discernment, spiritual safety, responsibility, and what it actually takes to rebuild a life after the old one no longer fits, in our podcast and in our signature coaching program, A Powerful You.

If our paths cross, I hope something I say, write, teach, or ask helps you see your own life more clearly. But the goal is always the same: remember how powerful you already are. And don’t give that power away.

Not to me.

Not to anyone.
